7 X 60min HD Episodes (GODDUNNIT PROMOTIONS)
After producing the very well received Big 5 Challenge series 1 reality show, Don Percival (Goddunnit Promotions) is delighted to announce plans to produce series 2. The format will essentially remain the same, however the treatment, tasks and pace will be substantially different. Series 1 recently won a wildlife Roscar award under the category of best series and since its premier in UK from the 2nd Nov 2008, it remained in the top 10 UK programs for 6 weeks. It was also the most talked about show on the Animal Planet website forum.
What is The Big 5 Challenge?
Three gorgeous female contestants from UK, Canada and Australia, and three hunky males from South Africa, USA and India have mostly been selected already. Their mission will be to track and locate the big 5 animals, get within 50 meters, take a digital photograph and remain within that range for 10 minutes. The challenge will include bonus points for certain other animals as well as for a daily photograph competition and completing various tasks. Professional armed guides will keep the contestants safe but may not help them track the animals.
The Challenge will take place in September 2010 in Zimbabwe, Africa in arguably one of the best game lodges in the world - SINGITA PAMUSHANA. The format will be similar to series 1 but geared towards a more general reality entertainment audience rather than primarily wildlife enthusiasts and will include the same 7 x 60 minute HD episodes as Series 1, which cost $1million to produce, has grossed $800k since it’s launch in Nov 08 and is expected to exceed $2million in revenues.
