Planning for the Big 5 Challenge Season 2 is now well advanced, with filming set for early September 2010. Contestants from Canada, Australia, the UK and USA have been selected with another 2 contestants from South Africa and India still being picked.
ITV in the UK have recently purchased the distribution rights for the Big 5 Challenge Season 1 following its international success, and have requested an option for the purchase of the rights to Season 2. This has resulted in the investment sought decreasing from $550k to $200k ($200k investment provides 33% gross sales after distribution costs), with sales expectations of $3.7m over 7 years (of which $2m is accumulated in the first year).
VPC continues to seek out potential investors given 20% of all profit will be directed to the Tashinga Initiative. As such, this is seen as a great opportunity for business to make a profitable investment and add to their corporate social responsibility at the same time.
